CERTIFIED LANDSCAPE PROFESSIONAL

The South Dakota Certified Nursery Professionals program was started to foster professionalism within the industry. Our three-part certification exam covers plant identification, landscape planning, and general horticulture.

To retain Certified status, continuing education must be completed every year. Renewal notices are mailed out in the fall. Continuing education includes attendance at the Great Plains Green Expo, the ANLA Convention or Management Clinic, etc.

The fee amount is $50.

SDNLA PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE

The SDNLA board has introduced the Professional Achievement award, honoring an employee of a member firm for their dedication to the green industry in South Dakota. Employees may be nominated by the owner, manager, or other employees of a member business. Application deadline is January 12, 2019 and may be mailed or emailed to Rick Foster, Foster Landscaping. One winner will be chosen each year from the applications and will be honored at the annual SDNLA Convention in February. The winner will also receive a prize from SDNLA, to be announced at the convention.
